SKULLS

Spring break is here and we’ve decided to exercise our artistic sides.

It’s been awhile since one of us has put paint to paper, (drawing on the iPad is way more popular with the SiS Team,) but since we’re on vacation, we decided to get out the brushes and practice painting the human skull.

(Even though it’s way past Dia de los Muertos, these skulls were inspired by Day of the Dead skulls.)

Fernanda’s horse sketch totally reminded us of these Picasso horse sketches…

SUMMER PROJECT: COLLAGE #1

SPLASH!

Fernanda is a little mermaid.

She will never come out of the water, whether it be pool or ocean.

I snapped this picture of her right as she was about to go under.

If only Mr. Hockney knew that two young girls were copying him . . . . . .

SKIP STONES

Rocks at Rincon Point.

Fanny and I tried throwing a few, but skipping stones is really not our calling.

ME vs. PICASSO (part 1)

Fernanda and I love Picasso and any artist that has a Picasso kind of style.

So, after coming across a really Picasso-y piece, I decided to copy it.

WAVES

Life has been the definition of  s u m m e r  so far.

We wake up at 7:00 in the morning, eat bagels for breakfast, then we grab our wetsuits and surf all day and lay in the sun.

After the day ends, we’re so tired and sunburnt we fall asleep right away. But we both can’t wait to get back onto the beach and into the water.

We get tanner every week and we are getting more and more tangles in our hair.

The water’s getting warmer and the waves are getting bigger.

I never want summer to end.
